This policy explains what information The Leadout (“we”) collects when you use theleadout.club, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Account info — the email address, display name, and password you provide at sign-up. Passwords are stored only as a salted bcrypt hash; we never see or store your plain password.
- Gameplay — the clubhouses, leagues, and fantasy team picks you create, plus any chat messages you post in a clubhouse.
- Uploads — profile/cover images you choose to upload.
- Usage & device data — basic analytics (pages viewed, approximate region, browser type) via Google Analytics, and anonymous outbound gear-link clicks. This is not linked to your account identity.
How we use it
- To run your account, leagues, and the fantasy game.
- To send essential emails — email verification, password resets, and league notifications (e.g. “your team carried over”).
- To understand what's useful and improve the site.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.
Sharing & third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with service providers that help us operate:
- Resend — delivers our transactional emails (receives your email address).
- Google Analytics — aggregate usage analytics.
- Affiliate networks / retailers — when you click an outbound gear link, you leave our site and their own privacy terms apply. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Cookies
We use a strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in (your session), and analytics cookies to measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser, but sign-in won't work without the session cookie.
Retention & your rights
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and its data at any time by emailing support@theleadout.clubfrom your account address. We'll honor deletion requests promptly, except where we must retain something for security or legal reasons.
Children
The Leadout isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
